Over the years, the Manitoba Forestry Association (MFA) has received many inquiries about having a tree planted:

• in memory of a family member or friend
• to mark a special event such as a birthday or anniversary
• to recognize a particular accomplishment such as a graduation, or
• as a unique gift.

To meet these requests, the MFA developed the Commemorative Tree Planting Program.

• For a $25.00 donation to the MFA, a seedling tree is planted at the Sandilands Forest Discovery Centre (near Hadashville, MB) and the person's name will appear on the Commemorative Tree Plaque inside the Museum.
• For a $250.00 donation to the MFA, a large White Spruce tree is planted at the Sandilands Forest Discovery Centre with a plaque beside the tree.

A tax receipt for the donation will be issued to the donor and an acknowledgement sent to the family or recipient.
