As an educator wishing to learn about sustainable forest management, you need to learn it first-hand from resource professionals in a forest environment. The Manitoba Forestry Association (MFA) understands this and has developed Forest Ed to provide such an opportunity for teachers, interpreters, or youth leaders.
Forest Ed draws together 25-30 educators, who spend 2 to 3 days with qualified instructors touring and participating in hands-on activities. There is an emphasis on providing participants with useful information they can use in their classrooms, or in the field. Forest Ed is a unique experience unlike any other environmental education workshop offered in Manitoba.
For more information in regards to dates and topic of the next Forest Ed workshop , please contact the MFA at (204) 453-3182.
