Our Mission Statement Updated

PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE

With over 100 years of conservation education experience, The Manitoba Forestry Association (MFA) is pausing all programming activities other than its premier educational program, the Manitoba Envirothon.

The MFA Executive and Board will take the next six to twelve months to assess and re-align our programming offering.  The Manitoba Envirothon will continue on a virtual platform for 2021 as our flagship program.  Donations to the MFA are encouraged and will be allocated to the Envirothon Program for the duration of our revitalization period.  Feel free to contact us at info@thinktrees.org.

Educating Manitobans

PROTECTING OUR FORESTS

Our forests are a fragile resource. They are a valuable asset to our economy and a vital part of our environment, critical to wildlife, soil stability, water resources and life itself.

Interested in learning more? You’ve come to the right place.

As Manitoba’s oldest conservation education organization, the Manitoba Forestry Association (MFA) is a leader in the field of forest education. Our mission is to inform and educate all Manitobans about wise management of trees and forests, to ensure they will remain healthy and productive not only for today, but for future generations.

As you explore our website, consider how forests play a part in your life. Then let us show you how your support and participation can help to sustain and nurture this precious resource.

Whether you are a teacher or a student, a land or business owner, a current MFA member or simply an interested individual, the MFA has a program that will help you to understand, appreciate, and protect this integral part of the global ecosystem – our forests.
