Tree seedlings make an unique keepsake for your guests to commemorate your love for one another.
We can provide White Spruce seedlings for your special day. White Spruce was chosen as our wedding seedlings because it is Manitoba’s provincial tree and it can grow in a diversity of locations throughout Manitoba and Canada. White Spruce grows in all soil types and it will grow in full sunlight or shade.
Please note that the tree seedlings have approximately a 1″ wide x 5″ long root plug and are approximately 5″ to 8″ in height.
Seedlings to give out at the wedding (Options 1 to 4 below) are available for dates from mid April to mid October. For seedlings given out in April and early May, they should be planted in container with adequate drainage, i.e. hole in bottom or a layer of gravel, until outdoor conditions are suitable for planting, usually by the end of May or the first week of June after the last frost. Tree seedlings should be watered regularly but should not be fertilized.
For winter weddings, which fall outside of the planting season, you can purchase the trees planted option, and trees will be planted in the following spring on behalf of your guests to commemorate your wedding. Please see Option 5 below for more details.
